Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why do I need a financial Advisor?

Often you are the greatest risk to achieving your financial goals. Working with a financial advisor minimizes the emotional influence of your financial decision making and maximizes the likelihood of achieving your financial goals. Delegating financial decisions means that our clients get to enjoy the present while knowing that their financial future is being taken care of.

2. How do You Get Paid?

We believe in eliminating as many conflicts of interest as possible. Therefore, our compensation comes directly from the clients we serve. Our success is solely based on the success of our clients. We do not sell any products or receive any commissions. Ever.

3. How do you keep my information safe?

Your security is one of our top priorities when working with you here at Hilltop Financial Advisors. We have a detailed confidentiality policy that we will go over in our first meeting, and we use Sharefile, a best-in-class security system, to ensure that any documents shared online are secure. Learn more about Sharefile at: https://www.sharefile.com/features.

4. Who is your typical client?

Our typical clients include doctors, entrepreneurs, and growing families who:

  • Are serious about saving and engaged in achieving their financial goals

  • Are open to working with a trusted financial advisor and delegating financial decisions

  • Are willing to ‘give back’ to improve the lives of others

  • Place a high value on spending their time on things that are truly important to them

5. Do I have to come into your office?

Not necessarily. At Hilltop Financial Advisors, our services are designed so that we can easily have informed and productive conversations about your finances through video chat, on the phone, or in person.

6. I'd like to learn more, what is the next step?

Feel free to schedule an Introductory Call or fill out the form on my contact page. You can also get a hold of me through phone or email, which I check daily.

7. Do I have to pay for our first meeting?

No. The first meeting is free and serves as time to get to know one another and see if we could work well together. We will discuss your finances and goals using your personalized financial road map we create together during the meeting and discuss our next steps together.

8. What is your investment philosophy?

Our approach starts by considering all of the client’s assets and decides on an allocation that is tailored to the individual client’s needs and goals. We do not try to time the market, but instead take a long-term approach to investing. We let the markets work for you by using primarily passive, low-cost, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) with a mix of actively-managed mutual funds where appropriate.
